REDUCING UTILITIES COSTS BY 40-50%
One of our areas of activity is the search for and implementation of projects to improve the energy efficiency of thermal power plants, when generating heat and electricity.
We implement various projects for the reconstruction and modernization of thermal and electric power generation facilities, aimed at reducing Customers' energy costs by 40-50%.
EXAMPLES OF TPP OPERATION PROJECTS
IMPROVING THE ACCURACY OF CONSUMED NATURAL GAS FLOW METERING
Custody transfer flow metering of natural gas is one of the most critical processes for consumers. Monitoring this process allows the consumer to better control expenses, since the accuracy of custody transfer flow metering of natural gas directly affects the total costs of the company.
The natural gas consumer can significantly reduce the risks of overpayment to the Supplier for consumed gas by implementing measures for improvement of accuracy of the inlet custody transfer gas flow metering, as well as to take control of this process, since more accurate and modern gas flow metering equipment will be on the Consumer's side.
AUTOMATED ENERGY ACCOUNTING
Implementation of high-precision automated control of process parameters of the main and auxiliary equipment will ensure in real time:
- Create archives of information on actual equipment operating modes for a better understanding of the current state of the equipment;
- Significantly increase the reliability of the equipment due to the optimal operating mode;
- Increase the efficiency and reliability of obtaining data on the causes of emergency situations and technological disruptions in the operation of the CHPP;
- Increase in the accuracy and number of primary measuring devices will allow to significantly optimize own needs for the main types of costs;
- The ability to create an optimal station configuration and optimal equipment loading (boilers, turbo units, etc.) in order to reduce the overall specific energy intensity of production.
REDUCING THE COSTS OF WATER SUPPLY AND WASTEWATER AT THERMAL POWER PLANTS
Payment for water consumption and water disposal is one of the main types of costs at thermal power plants, especially taking into account the rate of tariff indexation, as well as the improvement of the environmental situation.
The main part of the costs is in the operation zone of circulation systems and falls on water consumption and water disposal for technological needs, up to 70% of which is spent on blowdown.
One of the implemented solutions is equipping the circulating water supply system with an automatic water chemistry control system (AWCS) with automatic dosing of inhibitor reagents with constant monitoring of water quality indicators, reagent content, water inlet and outlet, as well as reagent supply to the system.
This solution allows for a reduction in water costs (due to the transition to higher evaporation coefficients) and a reduction in the risk of calcium deposits on heat exchanging surfaces.
FLUE GAS DEEP HEAT RECOVERY
Installations that provide heat recovery of outgoing flue gases with partial condensation of water vapor are usually called flue gas condensing units (FGCU).
When natural gas burns, the dew point of water vapor in combustion products is 55-60 °C. The efficiency of using FGCU for the heat recovery from combustion products of natural gas is explained by its high content of water vapor and the high quality of the condensate (demineralized water) released from the combustion products.
This condensate after degassing (removal of dissolved CO2) can be reused in the main cycle of the thermal power plant.
TYPICAL INSTALLATION DIAGRAM
The main element of the installation is a condensing heat recovery unit. The bypass line allows gases to pass by the heat exchanger when necessary, which allows hot gases to be mixed with cooled ones. In this way, the required temperature and moisture content of the exhaust gases can be ensured.
